Delete my Dixit account

You can delete your Dixit account and the associated data at any time, from the app or by email. The Dixit app is published by FIBROWEB.

This is a translation. In case of any discrepancy, the French version prevails.

1. From the app (the fastest way)

1. Open Dixit and sign in.
2. Go to Me > Settings > Account.
3. Tap Delete my account, then confirm.

Before deleting, you can get a copy of your data with Download my data, on the same screen.

2. By email

If you no longer have access to the app, write to hello@dixit-app.com from the email address linked to your account (the one from your Apple or Google account), with the subject "Account deletion" and your username. We handle the request within a few business days and confirm the deletion by email.

If you chose "Hide My Email" with Apple, your account is linked to a relay address: give us your username and we will ask you to confirm the request. For a request sent from another address, we check that you really own the account, so that nobody can delete it in your place.

3. What happens next

• Immediately: your account disappears for other users (profile, drops, ratings, comments), you are signed out of all your devices and no longer receive notifications.
• For 30 days: the deletion is pending. You can cancel it simply by signing in again with the same Apple or Google account: everything is restored.
• After 30 days: permanent erasure. The account can no longer be recovered.

4. What gets deleted

• your account: email address, Apple or Google identifier, date of birth;
• your profile: first name, username, photo, bio, link, badges, stats, verification;
• all your drops, with their photos and videos, their ratings and their comments;
• the ratings, short notes and comments you left on other people's drops;
• your follows, followers, requests, close friends, blocked, muted or restricted accounts, filtered words;
• your settings, your activity and your notification tokens.

5. What may be kept, and why

• Technical logs (IP addresses, errors): 12 months at most, for the security of the service.
• Reports you made or that concern you: 12 months after they were handled, to spot repeat offenders and respond to requests from the authorities.
• Support conversations: 3 years after the last exchange.

Anything other people may have copied by their own means (for example a screenshot) is beyond our control.

6. Deleting some data without deleting your account

• Delete a drop: open it, then "…" > Delete, or select several past drops in Me > Settings > Past drops.
• Delete a comment: long-press the comment, then Delete.
• Remove your photo, bio or link: Edit profile.
• Take a break: Me > Settings > Account > Deactivate hides your account until you next sign in, without erasing anything.
